Hey there! I’m Elisse Kelemen—fantasy author, anime nerd, and proud cat mom.

Funny enough, I didn’t grow up as one of those kids who always had their nose in a book. Reading just wasn’t my thing... until Netflix’s Bridgerton completely derailed my life in the best way. One minute I was binge-watching the series, the next I was inhaling the books—and from there, I tumbled headfirst into the world of romantasy. Once I discovered fantasy stories with epic romance, high stakes, and swoony characters, there was no going back.

Dreams came true

Before books, anime was my first love. I’ve been watching it since I was young and it’s been a constant source of inspiration, creativity, and comfort. In 2024, I finally crossed a major dream off my bucket list and traveled to Japan—and yes, it was every bit as magical as I hoped. I even got to spend Halloween there and cosplayed as Shinobu from Demon Slayer (a personal favorite). While I don't cosplay often, I’ve been dipping my toes into romantasy-inspired looks lately, and it’s been such a fun way to bring characters to life.

Home Life

When I’m not writing or watching anime, you’ll usually find me with my two cats: Loki, my clingy little British Shorthair who’s definitely my boy, and Luna, a fluffier British Longhair who prefers spreading her affection across the whole family. They’re my soft, purring writing companions and occasional keyboard interrupters.

Whether it’s through words, worlds, or a little cosplay, I love finding ways to live inside stories—and I hope my books give you that same kind of escape.

  • While I didn’t grow up writing stories, once I fell in love with reading romantasy, I couldn’t help but start building my own worlds. I began writing seriously in 2024 and never looked back.

  • I realized I wanted to create stories that blend magic, love, and adventure in the same way my favorite books do. I wanted to express my creativity in a way, and writing was the winner for me.

  • Rebecca Yarros, Brandon Sanderson, and Sarah J. Maas have shaped the way I write and imagine my stories. I love emotionally intense plots, immersive worldbuilding, and complex characters with a lot of heart.

  • I write fantasy with a strong focus on adventure and romance—think swoony characters, slow burns, and lots of magic.

  • Some favorites include Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, A Court of Throns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas, and Powerless by Lauren Roberts.

  • Give me a cozy spot, a cup of something warm (or iced, depending on my mood), and a cat on my lap (or keyboard), and I’m good to go. Music and Pinterest boards are also a must for inspiration.

  • Yes! My books will be available through online retailers with international shipping, and I’ll also be sharing updates about ebook and possibly audiobook formats.

  • I plan to in the future! I’ll always post updates about appearances or events on my Instagram and TikTok, so stay tuned.
