Dreamwalker

Enora’s life was already overwhelming—family drama, a demanding job, and the pressure of keeping it all together. But when a mysterious system chooses her to protect Alora, a dangerous and stunning fantasy realm she visits only in her sleep, everything changes.

In Alora, Enora faces monstrous beasts, fractured kingdoms, and deadly quests that test her strength and courage. Death in Alora means never returning—a risk she can’t afford as she fights to uncover the truth behind her mission. Teaming up with the cold and sharp-tongued Zyran, Enora must cross the treacherous Gate Mountains to reach high society and the answers she desperately seeks.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the phenomenon of dreamwalking is becoming public knowledge, and Enora’s two lives are on a collision course. As secrets unravel and danger looms in both worlds, Enora must ask herself: Can she fight for two worlds without losing herself in the process?

THIS I CAN SAY WAS A GOOD READ!

I won't go into details as you'd have to give it a read, but...

The deep descriptions of all the chapters make you live in that moment. You can feel every motion, tingling your senses as you read further.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!

Just finished Dreamwalker by Elisse Kelemen, for a first-time author, this was seriously impressive. The book is a mix of real life and a fantasy gaming world, and Kelemen does an amazing job weaving the two together. The familiar streets of the real world and the expansive fantasy setting — feel equally vivid and alive. She built a living, breathing world with its own rules, cultures, and hidden corners waiting to be explored.

If you’re into character-driven stories with a cool fantasy gaming twist, definitely give this one a shot. I’m already looking forward to the next book in the series.

Dreamwalker is a well-written romantasy that includes all my favourite tropes. We had your brooding MMC, a lovely mix of fantasy and modern world settings and a plot that I haven’t yet read so far. If you’re wanting something a bit different to your typical romantasy book, I would recommend this book, but don’t worry, it still has dragons in!

I can truly say that I've never read a book like this before. I think there are a lot of cool directions that this series could take. I am definitely interested in continuing to read this series.

I think this is an excellent book to read if you enjoy RPGs, especially BG3. The growth of Enora felt just like experience of Tav learning more about the truth behind the Illithid worms. There are battles in front of Enora, but the bigger enemy looms in the shadows just out of reach.

I am a fan of this book! I enjoyed the slow burn romance but also the fact it wasn't the major plot point. I love the whole system AI and do wish it was a bit more prevalent - I love when the video game mechanics are there, it makes it so interesting! The world is well built with multiple different social classes. I can't wait to see where the author is going with this one!
